Despite being in the heart of the popular Annapurna region, Kopra Ridge has only recently been developed as a trekking destination and is therefore less crowded than the more well-known trails in the area (at least for now!) The Kopra Ridge trek is particularly suitable for mixed ability trekkers looking for a two-week experience within easy road access of Pokhara.
Trekkers can expect to amble through a variety of scenery – including vibrant rhododendron forests, terraced rice fields and alpine landscapes. Along the way trekkers can catch a glimpse of local wildlife and experience panoramic views of iconic Himalayan landmarks, such as Mount Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Nilgiri (7061 m), Bharha Shikhar (7647 m) and Annapurna I (8091 m). The teahouses dotted along the trail will provide a welcome rest at the end of the day, as well as a rare glimpse into the culture of the warm and hospitable Gurung communities who manage them.
